10tacle Studios will finally not take over The Games Company studio. Here is a part of the official press release. "In December 2007 it was announced that TGC – The Games Company would be taken over by 10TACLE STUDIOS AG in order to expand the proprietary development capacities in the sectors of international multi-platform titles, casual gaming and licensed titles for the mass market. Due to the restructuring and new focussing of business activities at 10TACLE STUDIOS AG the agreed increase in capital has not been realized yet. Instead the parties have decided on reversing the transaction. The TGC management, led by Markus Malti and Carsten Strehse, has opted for returning to autonomy and will take over the shares of the company. “With the reverse transaction we have taken a step in the interests of all parties involved. TGC can continue its successful work and 10TACLE STUDIOS AG are free to newly position their company strategically as planned”, declares Markus Malti, CEO of TGC."
